What is the Temple Program
The Temple Program is for everyone. It is an exploration of Vocal Development, Creativity, and Performance. No matter your age, background, or level of experience, cultivating your voice and creativity is a benefit to life.
This is a holistic process where the number one goal is to have a healthier relationship between music, ourselves, and everything around us. If you are living, you are called to be musical. We are made in the image of our Creator; therefore, creating is part of who we are!
The Discovery Process
The defining trait of this program is that it is customizable in every sense. I do not believe in a one size fits all when it comes to developing creativity. We all come from many different walks of life and need different things tosucceed and break through barriers. This is why the “Discovery” process of the Temple Program is one of the most important processes. Before we begin the program, we start with Discovery sessions.In these sessions, we explore your musical interests, your abilities, and more. These sessions will allow me to tailor the program to meet your needs and faciliate your success.
We Begin : The Voice
At the core of the Temple Program is the Voice. It is not only an instrument, but it is you. Vocal- Development is self-development. The proper understanding of your instrument, along with technique, will set the foundation for all things creative. As a vocal coach and professional singer, I’ve come to truly understand that the voice informs everything. When our speaking and singing voices are being used optimally, everything else in our bodies and minds can begin to align.‘In the beginning was the Word’, so that is where we begin as well.
Creativity
After strengthening the vocal foundation, we will dive into “Creativity”. It is important to understand the landscape on which we sing. Musicianship, songwriting, and expression will be explored together. The voice comes alive through the text. Everyone has a song in their heart. Cultivating creation in music carries into every aspect of our lives. We were made in the image of our creator. We were made to create.
Performance
The final modality to explore is “Performance”. Don’t be intimidated by the word. It doesn’t have to be defined by some sort of recital or getting in front of an audience. To perform is to “carry out an action, task, or function”.Taking everything we’ve learned through “Voice” and “Creativity”, we will explore the art of sharing it. Sometimes we are our only audience. Sometimes it looks like releasing a piece of heartfelt music to the world, or just our family. I’m here to walk you through that process, whatever it might look like for you. Building this confidence is life-changing on every level.
